  Terra sunset city by JoeyVazquez
Hey there everyone! :thumbsup::D

So as you know, I've been working on developing my Creator Owned book Terra in-between my regular work.  This project is really special to me and I really want to work my hardest to see this project through.

As I work little by little, this project is starting to come to live and the world of Terra is being created.  It's a big challenge for me, because I'm doing everything completely on my own, writing, drawing, coloring, concept art, logo design.   I want to make this a book that you all will truly enjoy and be inspired by. Hopefully something bigger like a movie, TV show or a video game later down the line.   It will take a lot of time to complete this project but I hope to have at least 2 issues done and ready to premier sometime next year.  Really wondering if I should do a Kickstarter for it, but that's a big deal to take on all by myself so I might try and find more people to help me.   Theres a lot of ideas going around at the moment, for the Story, characters, villains, Worlds.    Like I said, theres a lot of work to be done.   The plan is to have 4 issue arcs, that will then turn into Trade paperbacks, and Hard Covers.  I plan on making each issue maybe 30 pages.  Might release it digitally first, we'll see.    Your support means everything and is the only way this project is going to happen.

Terra has been in the works for around 3 years now, but I've finally started mapping out the story arcs, and will be working hard to get things finalized.   I'll be sure to give you guys updates on the project and will try and post a promo art here and there.  I am working on this in-between my real work.  Gotta pay da billz.   So again it will take some time to get this off the ground.

Would love to see you guys doing more fan art of Terra and helping build the hype for this project.   It's always cool to see other people draw my characters. :D :D :D

Thank you all for the love.  Please pray for me as I work to move forward with this project.

God bless!!!

-Joey ;)

Draw from life, look at reference photos.  Also learn how to establish the structure of the figure before you start adding all the detail. :D

Hey me again. So I've been taking your advice practicing whenever I can and looking online for tips and techniques and I feel like I'm still learning nothing and my skills are somehow getting worst. I know, it sounds stupid but that's how it seems.  If you could help me out some more, could you tell me some books or videos that will help me learn.  Course if you can't then i will forever spam you with annoying messages!

Here's something you need to know.  When it comes to getting good at drawing, its gonna take a TON of practice.  Nobody just gets good over night.   I've been drawing for 15 years man and I'm still working to get better.

You're going to be digging through a lot of bad drawings before you get to the good ones.  So take your time, do a lot of just sketching.  Don't try and do a whole lot of completed pieces.  Just sketch and learn how to structure your drawings first.    Do that a ton.  You will have a way more solid foundation in your art if you do.

How the draw the Marvel way is one of the best drawing books out there, though there are many other great ones, if you want to be a comic artist, start here. They also have the video from when the made the book right here from youtube.

Go watch it…
