Spider-man Marvel page submission pencils by JoeyVazquez Spider-man Marvel page submission pencils by JoeyVazquez
Here's the first of the five Spidey pages I'm going to be doing for my submission to Marvel at C2E2. :D     I'll work on and post the others soon enough, but for now back to Qonqr pages.

I'm gonna ink this page later, but if any of you guys would like to ink or color it for your own Portfolio feel free.    Please post and show me what you do.  I love seeing it!

God bless!

Hi Joey, you have plenty of time before C2E2 so I would say don't waste time inking this, instead start the page again. That first panel tells me you didn't want to draw the buildings and people. An editor will know this straight away. The 2nd panel, the guys hands need work and the interior of the car could be more realistic. In the 3rd panel, the angle is too straight on with the buildings and they need more referencing to make them realistic, Also I would have made Spidey bigger and the pose more dynamic.. In fact that panel should be bigger and the last panel cut down a bit. Also don't have him as a silhouette, again that will be too obvious to an editor that you were taking shortcuts. Check out this guys samples, have a look at how he picked his panel angles and the background work, it might help with your pages:……

Work hard, look at all types of drawing especially more realistic stuff as this will help you understand what you're doing when you stylize and best of luck!

Spidey's pose in the third panel looks a little strange. Just effeminate and awkward. I'm a big fan of your work and love all your stuff, just want to let you know if you're applying for Marvel! Good luck to you.
